My sister brought me a delicious spice mixture from Israel called Ras el Hanout. This mixture has so many delicious spices in it, including cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cloves, and more. And this salmon recipe turned out to be the perfect use of this aromatic mixture and a favorite in our house.
Ingredients:
1 side of salmon or 6 salmon fillets
Salt and pepper, to sprinkle
½ c mayonnaise
2 Tbsp honey
½ Tbsp Ras El Hanout spice mix
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the salmon on a prepared sheet pan and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Place the salmon in the oven and bake for about ten minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey, and Ras El Hanout. After the ten minutes have passed, take the salmon out of the oven, spread the mayonnaise mixture over the salmon and place back in the oven. Bake until the salmon is caramelizing, browned and bubbly.
